This Sunday we visited Rathbeggan Lake which is approximately 10 minutes from the M50 it’s based in the Tolka Valley honestly it feels like miles away from city life!
I have no kids but such a good spot if you do! We arrived at around lunchtime grabbed a coffee and strolled around the lake and heritage garden. After a few laps we stopped back at the picnic area and had our home-made lunch. Definitely bring something if your making a day out of it! They have BBQ areas you can even buy your coals at the information point- such a good idea! Just make sure to bring the meat! The views are just gorgeous! They have airsoft, archery and of course fishing! It’s worth it alone for the walk, out of the summer season not all activities are available so best to check it out before. My doggy was more than impressed with the change of scenery!
If your in the Dublin/Meath are I definitely recommend popping in! On our last lap we visited the fairy garden and picked some blackberries. Perfect for a winter crumble- Recipe to follow!
Entrance: €2.50 per person. Activities are extra per activity-we just enjoyed the stroll!
